The PC market for the first time showed an increase. However, total shipments of PCs and laptops have grown only from individual manufacturers. Many major vendors, including Apple, suffered from low sales. This is stated in the report of research company Gartner.
According to Gartner, for the second quarter of 2019 have been sold 62.9 million computers. Compared to the same period last year, was recorded a growth of 1.5%.
The first three places were divided between Lenovo, HP and Dell. This is the only vendor to supply computers which grew for the second quarter of this year. The record for the number of supply belongs to the Chinese Lenovo company has managed to increase the market share for the year by as much as 15.9%.
Apple managed to implement 3.7 million computers. Mac sales for the year fell by 0.2 percent, and the total market share fell from 6 to 5.9 percent. At the moment Apple is in fourth place among the largest manufacturers of computers. However, the situation may soon change for the better — the company recently showed an updated MacBook Pro and MacBook Air. All this will allow to make some adjustments in the next quarter, experts believe Gartner.

According to analysts, the total reduction in the supply of individual producers may be due to a lack of processors, uncertain political and economic conditions and weak consumer demand.
